Two individuals were booked by the police in Thane after a viral video showed them misbehaving with a traffic constable.

The incident occurred after the traffic police attached a wheel clamp on their vehicle as it was parked in a no-parking spot. Shortly after discovering the wheel clamp on their vehicle, the man started to scream and threaten the traffic constable.

The video shows the man say, “Wardi utar, cheer dunga beech me se (remove your uniform, I’ll tear it from the middle)”.

To the constable’s credit, he kept nodding and maintained a calm posture throughout the video.

Understandably, the video made quite an impact on social media platform Twitter with netizens voicing their anger against the couple’s misbehaviour. It didn’t take long after this for the police to file an FIR against the two people.

“We have registered a case against two persons for misbehaving with on-duty Traffic police personnel under relevant sections of the IPC,” police officials said.

In a dramatic yet predictable turn of events, a video posted later showed the man in the police station apologizing profusely and even crying. A sense of schadenfreude was in the air as the individuals seemed to have learnt their lesson.
