Mumbai: 3 wards in the city have fewer than 100 active cases of COVID-19

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s daily COVID-19 report, three wards in the city have less than 100 active COVID-19 cases.

Out of 24 administrative wards, three wards in the city in the areas like Dahisar in western suburbs, Marine Lines and Bhendi Bazar and Mohammad Ali Road area in south Mumbai have fewer active cases.

Andheri that comes under K-west and Borivali under R-Central ward, has the highest number of COVID-19 cases, with Andheri having 454 active cases and Borivali with 334 active cases.

B ward (Bhendi Bazar, Pydhoni, Mohammad Ali Road) and Marine Lines under C ward have fewer active cases, 37 and 32, respectively.

Most of the areas in North Mumbai report a higher number of cases; however, the R-North ward corresponding to the Dahisar area has comparatively fewer active cases, that is 88.

Reportedly, Kandivli has 272 active cases under the R-South ward, Malad under the P-North ward has 176 active cases, while Goregoan under the P-South ward has 217 active cases.

R-ward and C-ward have the lowest growth rate, 0.03%, and 0.04%, respectively. 

0.09% is the second-highest growth rate in Mumbai, which is observed in the B-ward. B ward is adhering to all contact tracing, quarantine, and testing rules said a B ward civic official.

According to the BMC data, as of September 28, 2021, COVID-19 cases inched to the 400 mark, with 394 patients testing positive in the Greater Mumbai area.
