Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) decision to exempt students in Mumbai from giving the class X re-examination has brought some relief to students in the city.
As this happened, the students and parents went to thank Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray at Shivaji Park, Dadar.
Earlier, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray asserted the parents to not let the students sit for the re-examination.
The CBSE, earlier, announced the re-examination of Mathematics and Economics for class X and class XII students because of the paper leak.
This led to a huge uproar and resentment by the students all across the country. On this, Thackeray blamed the government for the paper leak and said that the government is punishing students for its mistake.
However, the CBSE’s decision to conduct the re-examination of Economics for class XII students is still active, all across the country. While the re-exam for Mathematics is only limited to Delhi NCR and Haryana.
