For the last month or two, passengers travelling on Central Line have faced an issue of irregularity since the trains have been 40-45 minutes late during peak hours. Due to which, the passengers reach their destination late which eventually hassles them every day.

Accordingly, in order to protest against the unprofessional behaviour by Central Railways, various passenger unions have decided to protest against the rail organisation.

Earlier, on June 20, a group of passengers from Titwala station had written to the concerned railway authorities and had provided them with a 10-day ultimatum to make the trains regular. Further, the passengers had indicated that if the issue is not resolved, they will protest and stage a 'Rail Roko Andolan'.

Due to the late trains, the rail corporation had to cancel more than 500 trains on the Central Line throughout last month. Therefore, the protestors will tie a black turban in trains on July 1 as a symbol of their protest.
