Parel - BMC is under scanner on the issue of potholes and all other problems, but there are few BMC officials who are going out of their way to implement innovative ideas like assistant commisioner Vishwas Mote of F south. He has initiated biogas from garbage project. Though electricity from garbage project is still under consideration, BMC officials have succeded in making gas from the garbage at office canteen. Since this experiment was successful, now BMC has decided to utilise 4 metric tons of garbage from 122 hotels in F south. In future apart from hotels, cementary, hospitals will also be included in this project which will be of a larger scale.
