A controversial photo was posted on the social networking website by a youth due to which the situation got tensed in Trombay. The enraged mob pelted stones on policemen and set their vehicle on fire.
A youth posted a controversial picture on his Facebook account after which the situation in Cheetah Camp got out of control. The police have arrested the accused and have filed the case according to the cybercrime law against him.
The mob of around 150 people attacked the police station, pelted stones and damaged three police vehicles. The police have detained 26 people in this matter. Police have also filed a case against the accused of instigating the riots in the area. Police are now going through the CCTV footage to nail the offenders.
