Art Bahrain Across Borders, which is Bahrain’s International Art Fair and the newest in the Middle East, showcased 16 renowned galleries from 11 countries across the globe in its fourth edition last month. The Fair took place under the Patronage of Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, who is the wife of the King of Bahrain and the President of the Supreme Council for Women.

The prominent galleries associated with the art show exhibited an amalgamation of unique experiences which were showcased under a diverse range of concepts. They highlighted the work of both established as well as budding artists.

Mumbai’s Cosmic Heart Gallery was one amongst 16 other international galleries at the Art Fair. A few other locations of the galleries included Argentina, France, Greece, Belgium and Bulgaria.

The theme of the Art Fair was ‘Legacies’ and it explored nearly half a century old Bahraini contemporary art scene and the foundation of this art culture in the rich heritage of the Kingdom.

ArtBAB (artbab.com) was designed to aid the conversation between Bahrain’s artists and the rest of the world.

As per the reports in TOI, Kaneka Subberwal, the Director of Fairs and Programme at ArtBAB 2019, mentioned that Indian galleries and artists have had a prominent presence at the art fair every year. This edition was exciting with the perfect blend between Bahraini artwork and other art trends from the industry.
