Chartered Plane Crashes In Ghatkopar; Five dead including pilot

Around 1:15-1:30 pm, a chartered plane crashed in an open area in Ghatkopar's Jivdaya Lane near a under-construction site. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot. Five people (4 travelling on the plane, 1 bystander) have died so far and two are injured. Mariya Zuberi, was the pilot on the plane along with two AME's and one co-pilot.

A person walking on the sidewalk lost his life as well after the crash.  

It is being said that the chartered plane formerly belonged to the Uttar Pradesh Government aircraft VT-UPZ, KING AIR C90. The U.P. State Govt had sold it to Mumbai's UY Aviation. The deal was done after the plane had met with an accident in Allahabad according to Principal Secretary Information Avnish Awasthi.

02:43 pm- Pilot Maria Zuberi and Surabhi were Mumbai residents

02:42 pm- Two injured people, Lavkush Kumar (21) and Naresh Kumar Nishad (24) were taken to Rajawadi Hospital

02:40 pm- The chartered plane had four passengers including the lady pilot, Mariya Zuberi, co-pilot Pradeep Rajput, Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Surabhi and Manish Pandey. Nobody survived the crash

02:35 pm- It is believed that the pilot's presence of mind saved a lot of lives as she crashed the plane near the under-construction site and sacrificed her life.

02:30 pm- The U.P. State Govt had sold it to Mumbai's UY Aviation. The deal was done after the plane had met with an accident in Allahabad according to Principal Secretary Information Avnish Awasthi

02:25 pm- It is being said that the chartered plane formerly belonged to the Uttar Pradesh government aircraft VT-UPZ, KING AIR C90 

02:15 pm- As per the reports, the plane had left Juhu helipad for testing. The 12-passenger aircraft had two pilots and two Aircraft Maintenance Engineers on board. 

02:05 pm- The first video of the plane crash surfaced of a passerby who was reportedly walking on the sidewalk at the time of the incident.

01:55 pm- Fire brigade teams, police, and NDRF team reached the spot.

01:45 pm-  A chartered plane crashed in an open area in Ghatkopar's Jivdaya Lane, near an under-construction building around 01:30 pm.
