The first Swachh Bharat Academy in the country will be started at the Government Technical School in Thane under Maharashtra State Skills University. An MoU in this regard was signed between Maharashtra State Skills University and BVG – Bharat Development Group in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Maharashtra State Innovation Society Commissioner Nidhi Chaudhary, Maharashtra State Skills University Vice Chancellor Dr. Apoorva Palkar, Bharat Vikas Group-BVG were present on the occasion. Hanmant Gaikwad and others were present.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a nationwide movement. Keeping in mind the need to develop skilled manpower, it is proposed to start Swachh Bharat Academy in the state so that there is no shortage of skilled manpower in this sector. With the help of Maharashtra State Skills University and Bharat Vikas Group, action will be taken to provide employment opportunities to the youth by training them.
Various certificate, diploma and degree courses will be started in Swachh Bharat Academy and various courses will be decided in this regard. On this occasion, it was informed that various courses will be implemented in Swachh Bharat Academy with the joint collaboration of Maharashtra State Skill Development Innovation Society, Directorate of Business Education and Training, Maharashtra Skill Development University and India Development Group.
