The construction work for the most awaited Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been started. In Haryana, the land acquisition has been carried out by the government for the project and the construction of the same is expected to speed up.

The 1,250-kilometer long expressway will be signal free and the vehicles will move at a speed of 120 km per hour. 

Except for Airways, It is an average of 24-hour journey travelling from Delhi to Mumbai. The Rajdhani Express takes almost 16 hours to reach Mumbai and the rest of the trains take between 17 to 32 hours. By road, it takes almost 48 hours.

The cost of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project is around ₹60,000 crore and this expressway will pass through Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and will enter Maharashtra.
