To ensure smooth dispersal of traffic, the Mumbai Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced that it is ready to open the new flyover at the T2 airport junction this week.

With this, traffic congestion on the Western Express Highway (WEH) and peak hour traffic at T1 domestic terminal junction is expected to ease.

The new flyover has two lanes. It is 8 meters wide with a length of 615 meters.

The new flyover runs parallel to the existing flyover.
