While preparing the budget of Thane Municipal Corporation, the views of Thanekars about the city should be included in it, therefore Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has planned the activity 'Changing Thane' for the pre-budget discussion.


Preparations for the reconciliation of the upcoming financial year have now started at the municipal level. In it, the previous budget is also being reviewed. Also, future plans and requirements are being planned in terms of city planning. It is an ongoing process at the administrative level. In that, people's representatives play a very important role. If there is a problem, the administration gets their support to follow up and solve the problem. Along with this, there is also a need to know the opinions of the citizens, said TMC Commissioner Abhijit Bangar.


While planning the program for the health, education, infrastructure, women and child welfare departments, the participation of professionals with many years of experience, NGOs can be valuable. Also, it is possible to determine the priorities of women, senior citizens, disabled, third class. So such discussions are always useful.

Therefore, the commissioner is going to interact directly with the citizens through various groups in three months i.e. November-December-January. It will include representatives of doctors, lawyers, CAs, teachers, NGOs, business associations etc. Thane city has a large population living in slum areas. Therefore, this dialogue will also be held with the NGOs working with them. As these congregations know exactly what is needed in their own area, while walking in the city, as citizens, they can suggest some suggestions, solutions, and changes in the discussion. Commissioner Bangar said that they will be able to participate in the construction of the city through the Municipal Corporation.


Through this, the issues raised by the citizens will be included in the budget. Also, if it is necessary to resolve some matters through the state government, such a proposal will be sent and followed up, Commissioner Bangar explained.
