WR Launches 'UTSAV' Campaign To Promote UTS App in Marathi, Gujarati

This novel initiative has been launched across 10 stations of WR and the campaign to run from March 2-7, 2024. UTSAV is an acronym for Unreserved Ticketing System App Vapra (Marathi) and Unreserved Ticketing System App Vapro (Gujarati).

With a view to enhance efficiency in booking & purchasing unreserved tickets, reduce long queues at ticket counters and encourage users to shift to a digital booking experience, Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway (WR) has started a novel initiative titled UTSAV.

This campaign has been launched across 10 stations of WR, namely Churchgate, Dadar, Andheri, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Bhayandar, Vasai Road, Nalasopara and Virar stations and aims to promote the UTS APP.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, UTSAV is an acronym for Unreserved Ticketing System App Vapra (Marathi) and Unreserved Ticketing System App Vapro (Gujarati) which signifies a revolutionary approach to railway ticketing.

This campaign started from March 2 and will be conducted up to March 7, 2024. As part of this initiative, a redesigned and user-friendly QR code has been introduced, incorporating the UTS App logo and station names for easy readability on smartphones, reflecting advanced technology in the railway system. The newly launched QR code enhances ticketing efficiency with a sleek, user-friendly design.

The UTS App is primarily designed to promote digital ticketing and self-ticketing mode, so that that passengers can buy tickets without facing the ordeal of queues. It allows passengers to book unreserved train tickets through their smartphones, providing a more convenient and efficient way of securing tickets for short distance train journey.

Western Railway appeals its esteemed customers to patronise the use of UTS App and to avail the enhanced benefits attached with their use.
