A 26-year old man has been arrested by the Malad police for allegedly uploading a college student's number on a porn site and delivered sex toys.
The man used to send her sex toys as an act of revenge for rejecting his advances. In February, the girl approached the police station to file a complaint as she started receiving calls from people asking for sexual favours. One of them even sent a courier which contained sex toys. All the orders had her number on them and were pay on delivery packages.
Apparently, in the beginning, the girl did not find anything suspicious and would return the packages. However, when she started receiving packages regularly, she opened one of them. In the parcel, she found a sex toy.
Post that; she approached the Malad police station. According to the reports, under the supervision of senior inspector D Ligade, API Vivek Tambe, and Ashok Konde from the cyber cell investigation was started.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused used VPN connections with different IP addresses to book the parcels.
The police then approached the net service provider and asked for the list of IP addresses from which sex toys orders were placed. This helped the police to trace the accused.
The accused has been arrested.
