In a shocking revelation, Amit Sahu, alias Pappu, aged 37, confessed to the crime, divulging that he was responsible for Sana's disappearance. A report published in the Indian Express stated that the police uncovered the disturbing information that Sahu had killed Sana and disposed of her body in the nearby Hiran river. The authorities, aided by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and local police, are currently engaged in efforts to recover the remains from the river.

On August 1, following a heated argument with Sahu over the phone, Sana embarked on a journey to Jabalpur. Subsequent attempts to reach her were unsuccessful as her phone remained switched off.
Distressed Family's Efforts
Concerned over Sana's sudden disappearance, her mother, Mehrunisha Mobin Khan, a Congress social activist residing in Nagpur's Gorle Layout region, filed a report regarding her missing daughter on August 3. The last known location of Sana was traced back to Sahu's residence. The investigation took a significant turn when an employee at Sahu's dhaba revealed that he had cleaned a car stained with blood under Sahu's instructions.
Arrest and Revelation
After diligent efforts spanning six days, the authorities finally managed to apprehend Amit Sahu on a Friday. Sahu's shocking admission painted a distressing picture. He revealed that a heated argument on the morning of August 2 escalated tragically, leading to Sana's demise. Allegedly, Sahu struck Sana multiple times with a wooden baton, ultimately causing her death. In a disturbing turn of events, Sahu, alongside his accomplice Rajesh Singh, then transported the body to the Hiran river, approximately 40km away, and disposed of it from a bridge.
