Amitabh Bachchan has a huge fan base not only in India, but also abroad. Till date his fans from various places stand near his bungalow ‘Jalsa’ just to get a glimpse of him.

One such fan had been waiting outside his house from the last five days just to meet him, but on Thursday he was attacked by three people and he is now being treated in Cooper Hospital. Juhu police has filed a complaint against three people and are investigating the matter.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Aqueel Rafiq Ahmed (35 years) is from Bareilly Utter Pradesh. Aqeel is a huge fan of Amitabh Bachchan. On June 30 Aqeel came to Mumbai without informing his family to meet Amitabh Bachchan and was waiting outside his house from the last five days in a hope to catch a glimpse of the actor.

On July 4 while Aqeel was sleeping on the footpath of Bhartiya Arogya Nidhi Hospital, which is opposite ‘Jalsa’ he was attacked by three men. These three men have been identified as Rajendra, Vikas and Ramesh. They saw Aqeel was alone they tried to force him to drink liquor, when he resisted they attacked him with a knife.  On getting the information about this incident Andheri police reached the location and filed a complaint about it. They have now handed the case over to Juhu police.

According to the information received from the police, the statement that Aqeel has given seems suspicious, they further said that Aqeel has injuries on his stomach, chest and right hand. The police further added that there are some inconsistencies in Aqeel’s statements. Sometimes he says that he was attacked in Andheri east, and sometimes he says that he has come to meet Amitabh Bachchan without informing his family.

The police were trying to gather the CCTV footage around the place but there were no cameras around the place that the alleged crime took place. Juhu police said that further investigation is in process.
