This month, admission will open for first-year undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including first-year Bachelors of Arts (BA), Bachelors of Commerce (BCom), Masters of Arts (MA), MA (education) and Masters of Commerce (MCom). This move is all set to increase the enrolment in Mumbai University and even benefit the students who take admission after October following their Grade 12 supplementary exam. The number of intakes is expected to reach 1 lakh with this new move by IDOL. Notably, there were 67,000 admissions in IDOL in August 2019 with BCom and MA being the most preferred courses.
Notably, the number of enrollments in IDOL has decreased drastically. Two years ago, there were 81,000 admissions which have now been reduced to 67,000. The main reason for the same is that the curriculum has not been updated since 2005.
