The low pressure area formed over Madhya Pradesh and the wind speed in the sea and on the coast has increased. Due to this, there is a possibility of increasing rainfall intensity over the entire Konkan coast on Tuesday. In this regard, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of extremely heavy rains for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts.
A warning of heavy rains has been issued for Sindhudurg district. A warning of heavy to extremely heavy rain has also been issued for the Pune Ghat area and Satara Ghat area.
The Colaba centre of the Meteorological Department recorded 12.2 mm of rainfall from 8:30 am on Monday to 8:30 am on Tuesday, while the Santacruz centre recorded 38.2 mm. Heavy rain is falling in Powai, Santacruz, Bandra, Andheri, Kurla areas.
