The climate in Mumbai is deteriorating rapidly. According to a report published in Hindustan Times, the information was collected through a World Health Organisation (WHO) report on the basis of the quality of the air collected. And as per the reports, Mumbai is the fourth most polluted city in the world

Delhi has been ranked number one on the list. For the past few days, the quality of air in Mumbai has worsened due to pollution caused by the ongoing work of the Metro project.

Greater Cairo, a city in Egypt ranks in second place after Delhi. Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh has been put on the third position in the list whereas the fifth place is being held by China's capital, Beijing. According to statistics, 90 per cent of the world's population has been consuming polluted air. In addition to that, more than 70 lakh people died due to polluted air in 2017. 

Besides Mumbai and Delhi, the quality of air in Kanpur, Faridabad, Varanasi, Gaya and Patna has also been reported alarming.
