The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) has received approval from the state government to create 22 new posts of revenue officers and land survey officers/staff for the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified Area (NAINA) project. A detailed report regarding the same was published in the Hindustan Times.

Details of NAINA Project

NAINA is a planned city that will be developed in a 371 square km area around the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The project will be implemented through a total of 12 Town Planning Schemes (TPS). The development aims to create an ultra-modern city with top-notch facilities.

Reason for Approval

To carry out the work of keeping land records up-to-date, such as updating entitlements, preparing property cards, measuring land, and creating new maps, revenue and land survey officers/staff are required. CIDCO requested that the government create new posts to carry out these tasks. As a result, 22 new regular posts were approved at a high-level secretary committee meeting on December 13, 2022, and the GR was recently announced.

New Posts Approved

CIDCO will be able to have additional and dedicated human resources to carry out the various NAINA project works, thanks to the approved posts, which include deputy collector, tehsildar, circle officer, talathi, district superintendent land survey, deputy superintendent land survey, bench clerk, nimtadar, and surveyor. These officers and staff will be under the administrative control of the planning agency.

Project Timelines

The creation of new posts for revenue officers and land survey officers/staff will assist in keeping land records up-to-date and will be instrumental in the development of the NAINA project. CIDCO will now have more dedicated human resources to perform various tasks, and the project is expected to be completed within the specified timeframe.

CIDCO's Vision for the Project

Sanjay Mukherjee, vice chairman, and managing director of CIDCO, expressed his enthusiasm for the project and said, "NAINA is an ambitious project in the urban planning sector of the state. We will develop an ultra-modern city that will contribute significantly to the development of the state."

In summary, the state government's decision to approve the creation of 22 new posts for revenue officers and land survey officers/staff for the NAINA project is significant
