Navi Mumbai's innovative public sports complex under the Sanpada flyover has caught the attention of netizens on social media.
Businessman Anand Mahindra has praised the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's (NMMC) innovative thinking and clever planning.

The project, which began in 2021, covers an area of 2745.27 square kilometers and is covered with a net to prevent objects from falling onto the road.
The public sports complex became accessible for free in December 2022. The success of this project has inspired another similar sports complex under a different flyover in Nerul by the civic body.
The video of children playing cricket and a badminton court under the flyover, shared by Twitter user Dhananyaj_Tech, has gone viral with 1.3 million views and over 12,000 likes.

Users on social media have praised the project, with one user commenting, "This is a great makeover and we couldn't get a better use of the underside of a bridge." Another user suggested that this innovation should occur in Delhi as well.
The project demonstrates the innovative use of space and provides an opportunity for children to engage in physical activities. While some suggested that such spaces can be used for parking lot as well in the city where traffic and parking issues is becoming a menace.
