The summer season is around the corner, and with the summer holidays, children feel a little bored at home and want to step out. Box Zone, an amusement park in Borivali, has come up with some special summer activities.

From the Eksar Metro Station, one can stroll for two minutes along a meandering road to reach the entrance to the expansive four-acre open space. You can enter the general access area with an INR 50 general entrance pass. Numerous arches adorned with fairy lights greet you. There are numerous selfie spots spread out over the area in various zones. These are just a few of them. They give options to explore one of the park's two marked zones as we make our way through the attractions.

The park's Zone A reminds you of the hit television game show Wipeout. A bunch of kids are laughing every time they skip over a sweeper bar as they bounce over it on an inflatable. Then, blue-uniformed guys come into sight. These are the game attendants making sure the kids are safe while they splash around in a nearby miniature pool on their little boats. Two of these game attendants, who are also trained in first aid procedures, supervise each game. There are coupons ranging from INR 50 to INR 300 required for each activity. Trampolines, an arcade area, and vintage games like the mechanical bull are all located in the same area.

A miniature golf course with ten holes and more challenging obstacles is there. After asking the players if they are left- or right-handed, the attendant gives them a golf club. The putter is a metal, standard-size golf club that feels hefty and substantial in the hand. The park provides lightweight wooden and retractable golf clubs in sizes that fit young players' statures.

The Zone B of this amusement park in Borivali is full of adventure too. Massive replicas of board games, including tic-tac-toe, checkers, and chess, are housed there. A big Jenga set-up is the highlight, especially for butterfingers like this writer. Access to the zone, which is fenced, is available to participants of all ages. Adult admissions start at INR 200, while parent-child passes cost INR 500.

The owner of this amusement park in Borivali plans to introduce a 9-D theatre, which is underway as part of a monsoon revamp.
