Talking about the same Gopal Shetty said,

The current year is observed as Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary. Our initiative of 150 km walk will be earmarked as a tribute to the Father of the Nation. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government has removed article 370 from Kashmir and created history. We are sure that the removal of article 370 will resolve all issues of Kashmir and its people. Through such walks, we would like to protect the self-esteem of every Indian and make him aware of the Government schemes and policies, undertaken in the interest of the people. Commenced on the occasion of Independence Day, we have already completed the first phase of the 'Padayatra', held in Borivali. Today, in its second phase, the 'Padayatra' has witnessed participation by an increased number of citizens from Dahisar.

The Padayatra held in Dahisar also witnessed the participation of Dahisar MLA Manisha Chaudhari. Vinod Shelar, Shrikant Pandey, Karunashankar Oza among others. Gopal Shetty also informed that In the coming three weeks, they aim at completing the 150 km 'Padayatra' in the Mumbai North constituency.
