Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is going to launch a new portal to simplify the home-buying process next month. The new portal is designed to enhance efficiency, accountability, and transparency in the real estate industry. It promises to make the home-buying journey smoother for both consumers and developers.

As the transition to the new system takes place, the old website will become unavailable for some time. This is due to the technical adjustments needed for the switch. By February end, the new website, called MahaRERA-CRITI (Complaint and Regulatory Integrated Technology Implementation), will be functional.

The overhaul aims to provide a more user-friendly experience, adapting to the evolving property market conditions. It is a strategic move by MahaRERA to better serve homebuyers and developers.

The main feature of the new portal is the ease with which flat buyers can file complaints. Additionally, the "project health summary" section will feature health reports and information on active projects.

For developers, the submission of information necessary for Forms 1, 2, and 3 will be more seamless. These forms include quarterly progress reports. They are lengthy, and the new system will simplify this process.

The current website was launched in May 2017, marking the beginning of MahaRERA's online presence. Now, almost five years later, MahaRERA will make an upgrade.
