With Maharasthra Assembly Elections right around, Mumbai-based street artist Ravig’s has come out with a new rap song to highlight the issue of the Patripool bridge in Mumbai’s Kalyan
It is not new for people to take to rap songs to highlight an issue in a specific area. There have been attempts in the past too. What is new in this video is that it highlights the problem faced by the commuters because of this bridge not being made and how the people in the area have been facing these issues since the last one and a half year.
For those unaware, Patripool bridge was a 104-year-old bridge and it had to be demolished in August 2018 as it was declared unsafe to travel by the Central Railways. At the time of demolishing, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation had assured the commuters that the new bridge will come up in six months, but the construction has not been completed yet.
