On the occasion of World Wildlife Day, Westland Publication announced the release of 'Birds in Your Backyard and Beyond'. This children's book is written by Kaustubh Srikanth, Arthy Muthanna Singh and Mamta Nainy.

The protagonists of this book- Binee the bird answers questions like why do all birds have feathers but not all can fly in an interesting way which is easy for any child to grasp. The book will help children to identify many birds and their sounds, young ones and their eggs. It even takes the child on an adventure filled journey along with the birds.

Birds in Your Backyard and Beyond is a book that helps readers spot birds in their backyard, identify their calls and even teaches them how to be a pro. 

Currently working with World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)India, Kaustubh Srikanth is a wildlife biologist with extensive experience in leading nature trails and workshops. Arthy Muthanna Singh is a children’s writer, freelance journalist, copywriter, editor and cartoonist. She has authored more than 35 books for children. Mamta Nainy is a children’s writer and editor. She has authored many books for children, including A Brush with Indian Art which won The Hindu-Goodbooks Young World Award 2019 in the Best Book Non-Fiction category and Bioscope, a picture book that featured in the IBBY Honour List 2012.

Notably, World Wildlife Fund's name was changed to World Wide Fund for Nature India in 1987. With five decades of extensive work in the sector, WWF India today is one of the leading animal conservation organizations in the country.
