OPPO had recently launched Reno 4 Pro in India and now the company is all set to launch a special edition of this phone. The phone is dubbed as OPPO Reno 4 Pro MS Dhoni Special Edition and will be launching on September 24, 2020. It was earlier rumoured to launch of September 17.
OPPO Reno 4 Pro MS Dhoni Special Edition has been in the news for a while now. Recently the landing page of the phone on the retail site Flipkart too went live.
OPPO, on September 18 also announced their association with CSK captain M.S Dhoni and said that they hope this will help inspire people to achieve more through their passion and push the envelope in a quest to #BeTheInfinite. The press release reads, "MS Dhoni is an epitome of infinite possibilities created with dedication, persistence, and hard work - a message that has been in sync with OPPO’s purpose of being all along".
Commenting on the collaboration, MS Dhoni said “I am very excited to be a part of a project which aims to inspire people to push their limits and follow their passion. It is a pleasure to collaborate with OPPO as they have been at the forefront of pushing their limits in technology and innovation.”
It is said to be a special variant of the Oppo Reno 4 that was launched recently. Priced at 34,990, Oppo Reno 4 Pro features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display and comes with an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The phone offers 90Hz refresh rate display and runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor and packed with 4,000mAh battery. For pictures, the Oppo Reno 4 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel mono shooter. There is also a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
Oppo Reno 4 Pro supports fast charging via 65W SuperVOOC 2.0. The smartphone retails in Silky White and Starry Night colour variants in India.
What is special about OPPO Reno 4 Pro MS Dhoni Special Edition
M.S Dhoni edition of OPPO Reno 4 Pro may have a slightly different colour variant than the existing one.
This is not the first time, Oppo had launched a special edition for this phone. Last month, Oppo had launched Reno 4 Pro Artist Limited Edition which was in collaboration with Taiwanese-American artist James Jean. Furthermore, the Artist Limited Editon only had one variant which offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. For now, it is not confirmed whether the OPPO Reno 4 Pro MS Dhoni Special Edition will offer the same but it will be good add on.
