Mumbai Local News: Block on Central Line To Affect Several Trains between October 13-15

Central Railway (CR) will operate Special Traffic & Power Block for launching of four Girders for 5.00 M wide FOB (at CSMT End) of Thane station Platform no 1 & 2 involving DN Local Line (Span-2) at km 32/21-22 using Road Crane.

This proposed block will be for 6th span.

The Block is to be operated as under:

Duration of Block:
00.30 hrs– 05.30 hrs = 05.00 hrs.

Traffic Block Section:
Down Local Line: Mulund to Kalva

Due to this the suburban train running pattern will be as under:

• Diversion of DN Slow Suburban Services: Down suburban services from S 41 departing CSMT at 23.30 hrs to N 3 departing CSMT at 04.19 hrs will be diverted o­n Down Through Line between Mulund and Diva stations and will halt at Thane, Kalva & Mumbra stations.

• Last local before the block: TL 65 departing CSMT at 23.16 hrs and arriving Titwala at 01.00 hrs
• First local after the block: CTL 3 departing Vidyavihar at 05.11 hrs and arriving Titwala at 06.23 hrs

CR's Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block o­n its suburban sections for 5th and 6th Line carrying out various engineering and maintenance works o­n Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Thane-Kalyan 5th and 6th Lines from 01.00 am to 04.00 am

Diversion of Up an Dn Mail/Express Trains:

UP and Down mail Express trains running o­n 6th  and 5th Line will be diverted o­n UP Through line and Down through line between KYN & TNA stations and will arrive destination 10" to 15" minutes late.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti / Bandra Dn harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm &
Chunabhatti / Bandra - Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm

Dn Harbour line services to Vashi /Belapur/Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai/ Vadala Road from 11.16 am to 4.47 pm and Dn Harbour line services to Bandra/Goregaon leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 10.48 am to 4.43 pm will remain suspended.

Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel/Belapur/Vashi from 9.53 am to 3.20 pm and Up Harbour line services for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Goregaon/ Bandra from 10.45 am to 5.13 pm will remain suspended.

However, Special services will run between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No.8) during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main Line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm during block period.

Panvel suburban yard remodeling work:

Tonight i .e. 13/14.10.2023 (Friday/Saturday night) o­nwards night stabling/starting will be done as per schedule time table. All 12 rakes will be stabled at Panvel (10 rakes in the stabling sidings & 2 rakes o­n the Platform). Suburban services o­n Harbour line  & Trans Harbour Line will run as per normal schedule.
           
The maintenance mega block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused due to this infrastructure block.
