Every year during Ganeshotsav, thousands of people from Mumbai visit their respective villages in Konkan. In this background, railways have decided to start booking trains for the upcoming and most awaited Ganeshotsav festival. This year, Ganeshji will arrive on September 19. For this, the booking of trains for Ganpati Festival will start from May 16.
Every year, railway booking starts four months prior to Ganeshotsav. Similarly, ticket booking will start from May 16 this year.

Konkan and Central Railway have jointly decided to run 26 summer special trains on the occasion of summer vacation. Passengers will get relief due to additional trains. All these trains will stop at Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Adawali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Sawantwadi Road stations.
Ticket booking for these trains with special charges has started from today on the website www.irctc.co.in.
