Bae of Bengal Brunch at Doolally Taproom, Khar

Doolally Taproom, Khar
Rajkutir 10 A., E854, Rd Number 3, Khar, Ram Krishna Nagar

Inspired by the rich history encompassing the East India Company and the Nawabs in Kolkata over two centuries ago, the Bhog offered during Durga Pujo, the decked up Pandals serving up hot luchis, and the big mounds of sweets, our Brunch is here to satiate your Bengali food-fetish.

Serving Kolkata streets savoury Chaats and Pakoras special  - Gondhoraj Churmur Chaat, Begun Bhaja (Brinjal Fry), Puchka (not your ordinary Pani Puri), Aloo Bhaja, Mochar Chop (Banana Flower pakora), Mix Veg Pakora, Chicken Kabiraji and Betki fried Fish Finger.

Keeping the authenticity of the Bengali food trail, the mains include the Kosha Mangsho, a mutton braised dish with aromatic spices; the delicious Kolkata Chicken Biryani, Muger dal (flavoured with cumin and ghee), Ghee Bhat rice, Potoler Dorma (stuffed pointed gourd) and hot fluffy luchis (Puri). Dig into the Chicken Chaap (gravy), a dish which was originally introduced by the Nawabs of Bengal. And the Prawns Malai curry - a creamy, coconutty gravy with succulent prawns. Sure to make you exclaim fatafati!

Finally, for dessert, we're serving the traditional array of sweet Bengali bliss - Rasgulla, Cham Cham, Kala Jamun, Kesar Jalebi, Sandesh, Mishti Doi, Gurer Payesh (Kheer) and Meetha paan.
