Sakinaka Rape: “He Was Under The Influence Of Some Substances,” Says Mumbai Police Commissioner

In accordance with the Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), the police authorities haven’t found any registered offence against the accused so far in the state. The authorities, however, are attempting to investigate if the accused has any criminal record in the state of Uttar Pradesh, stated the Mumbai Police Commissioner on the Sakinaka rape-murder incident.

The Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale further elaborated that according to the confession, the accused and victim knew one another. The victim is said to have been demanding something from the accused. Later, they argued. The authorities are expecting that the primary reason he attacked her was the argument they had. Nagrale added that the accused was under the influence of some substances.

On, September 11, Saturday, the victim a 32-year-old died, almost 36 hours after being assaulted sexually in a stationary tempo. Based on her post-mortem report, certain reports highlighted that a pointed object was inserted into her private parts had reached her abdomen. In light of this, the state Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray stated that the incident was a shame to humanity and announced that the case is fast-tracked. In addition to this, the Chief Minister also announced Rs 20 lakhs for the dependents of the victim
