BJP president Amit Shah to meet Uddhav Thackeray, Lata Mangeshkar, Ratan Tata in Mumbai

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah will arrive in Mumbai on June 6, 2018 and will meet Shiv Uddhav Thackeray, businessman Ratan Tata, veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar and actress Madhuri Dixit and will share the Modi's government's achievements. On June 7, Shah will meet sporting legend Milkha Singh in Chandigarh.

Amongst these, meeting with Uddhav Thackeray is considered to be important because Shah will be meeting Uddhav Thackeray after four years. In recently held Palghar , Shiv Sena took a dig at BJP citing that the party rigged EVM machines to win the elections. He also called the State election Commission (SEC) corrupt and called out other opposition political parties to file a complaint against the SEC. Thackeray also hinted that they can contest 2019 elections without any alliance. It is believed that Shah has come to end the cold war between both the parties.

On May 26, 2018, Modi government celebrated fourth anniversary and on the occasion of the same, the BJP launched a mega public drive titles 'Sampark for Samarthan' where the party decided that 4,000 functionaries of the party will contact one lakh people who are well-known in their field to spread the word about the government. According to the BJP party, Amit Shah will be contacting 50 people.
