Post-Bharatiya Janata Party Rajendra Gavit’s victory, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray announced a press conference at Shiv Sena Bhavan at 5:00 pm. Considering SS anger over BJP’s victory, there were speculations in political circle, that furious SS president Uddhav Thackeray would backlash BJP for its victory and would end their alliance, but surprisingly Thackeray spoke of nothing of that sort.

In the press conference, while congratulating BJP party for the victory, he called the State Election Commission corrupt and added that SEC officials should be elected and should not be nominated. Criticising the same, he also commented that all political parties should come together and should file complaints against SEC.

SEC officials declared that the final voting number and signed it as well. But, the very next day, they announced that the voting percentage has gone up. This was shocking for us,” Uddhav Thackeray.

Along with this, he also took a dig at UP CM Yogi Adityanath for his statement over Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj adding that either BJP is least concerned about his statement or is deliberately ignoring the same. He added that people in Kairana disowned Yogi Adityanath by making him lose in the bypoll elections.

Uddhav Thackeray said that SS had no plans to fight bypolls election but they decided to do so because the BJP party was unfair with Wanga family after Palghar MP Chintaman Wanga’s unexpected death. He added that he wanted to give justice to Wanga family and so he decided to fight the Palghar bypolls election.

When Thackeray was asked about the defeat, he said that he doesn’t think that his party is defeated. Along with this, he also thanked SS candidates and people of Palghar for voting Shiv Sena.
