Even after the Palghar Lok Sabha bypoll are over, the criticism from politicians of each other seems to be unstoppable. Earlier, during the campaigning, the political tussle between the parties was visible. However, now the leaders have started criticising Election Commission.

After the closure of EVMs during the polling in Maharashtra’s Palghar and Bhandara-Gondiya, the opposition leaders criticised the Election Commission (EC) and the BJP for the same. Targeting BJP, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday called EC as the ‘Tawaif’ (Mistress) for one party. 

Raut informed that the Shiv Sena activists caught some BJP workers red-handed as they were distributing money before the voting started. Later, Shiv Sena filed a complaint with EC regarding this issue and no action was taken against BJP. As this happened, Raut said, “EC is acting like a Tawaif of a political party.”

Speaking to the media, Raut said that people are dissatisfied and angry with BJP’s work and informed that EC registered their complaint after hours. Raut further informed that the EVM machines were shut down in the area where Shiv Sena had the upper hand for winning and the same was blamed on the temperature.
