After the closure of EVMs during the polling in Maharashtra’s Palghar and Bhandara-Gondiya, the opposition leaders criticised the Election Commission (EC) and the BJP for the same. Targeting BJP, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday called EC as the ‘Tawaif’ (Mistress) for one party.

Raut informed that the Shiv Sena activists caught some BJP workers red-handed as they were distributing money before the voting started. Later, Shiv Sena filed a complaint with EC regarding this issue and no action was taken against BJP. As this happened, Raut said, “EC is acting like a Tawaif of a political party.”
