After agitating against the state government while pressing their demand for reservation, the Maharashtra Kranti Sena (MKS) has decided to back the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena alliance.

In an event organised at Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan on Sunday, the MKS decided to support the alliance in the presence of state Education Minister Vinod Tawde and state Transport Minister Diwakar Rao.

Earlier, the MKS, a faction of Maratha Kranti Morcha, had decided to contest the Lok Sabha elections on 15 seats in Maharashtra with an aim to get 16 per cent reservation for Maratha community.

MKS President Suresh Patil informed that their main objective is to get the reservation for Maratha community. However, since the matter is in court now, the MKS has decided to join hands with the Mahayuti.
