In a major political development, Maharashtra Kranti Sena (MKS) President Suresh Patil on Monday announced that they are going to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha and Maharashtra Assembly elections. The newly formed political party will contest on all the 48 Lok Sabha seats and 288 assembly seats.
MKS was formed on November 9 from the Maratha Kranti Morcha or the Maratha reservation movement. However, some of the factions in the Maratha community had opposed the idea to form a political party. Patil has instructed the party activists to prepare for the upcoming polls.
