In the aftermath of MNS Chief Raj Thackeray sharing a video of Balasaheb Thackeray wherein the latter is seen speaking against the use of loudspeakers, Shiv Sena leader, Priyanka Chaturvedi took to Twitter to share an old video of the Shiv Sena founder making a veiled jab at Raj.

In the video shared by Chaturvedi, the Shiv Sena leader can be heard exclaiming, "People say, someone has copied by oratory style, but I do not know who". He adds, "One day, people will say that I have copied him if I speak in a similar way".

He then voices an example that a boy during his exams gave a blank answer sheet, but another boy complained to the professor about him. To this, the professor asked what the problem was. The second boy, Thackeray says responded that he is apprising him of this because he too has submitted a blank sheet.

The second boy tells the professor that they shouldn't think that he has copied from him. Following this example, Thackeray utters that when he raised the Marathi issue the MNS leader was not even born. In the video, Thackeray utters that one can copy another's oratory style, but what's important is the thought being it.

The video ends with Thackeray remarking that one should let this be since there are many other issues.

On the other hand, in the video shared by the MNS leader, Balasaheb Thackeray is seen elucidating the day his government comes into power in the state, they will not stay quiet unless the street prayers are stopped.

Following Raj Thackeray's ultimatum on the removal of loudspeakers from mosques, several MNS workers were detained by the Mumbai Police since they attempted to play the Hanuman Chalisa outside mosques.

A case has also been registered against the MNS Chief. Amid this, the Mumbai Police Commissioner, Sanjay Pandey conducted a meeting with representatives of religious shrines and asked them to attain permission to use loudspeakers.
