RPI chief Ramdas Athavale to carry out a protest rally demanding the arrest of Sambhaji Bhide

The Republican Party led by Ramdas Athawale is going to carry out a rally on May 2, 2018, demanding the arrest of right-wing leader and one of the prime accused in the Bhima-Koregaon violence, Sambhaji Bhide. And several more demands along with the SC-ST act. The rally will begin at MHADA office, Bandra at 1:00 pm on May 2, 2018, and will conclude at Bandra Collector Office.

After the rally, RPI chief Ramdas Athawale will address the party workers and supporters at his Sanvidhan bungalow.

Post Bhima-Koregaon violence — which took place on January 1, 2018 — Bharip Bahujan Mahasangh called for a Maharashtra bandh on January 3, 2018. Bahujan Mahasangh supporters actively participated in the rally and had demanded to arrest the accused and Hindutva leader Milind Ekbote and right-wing leader Sambhaji Shinde. Along with this, Bahujan Mahasangh chief Prakash Ambedkar had carried out Elgaar protest on March 26, 2018.
