Paper, Clay, POP (Plaster of Paris) & what not materials are used to build Ganpati Idol? This is surely the newest form of material used to build Ganesha's Idol in Malad (west) by Sainath Mitra Mandal. Indian spices in large quantities are used to build Bappa's idol. The amount of spices used are :- 9kg clove, 2kg cinnamon, 2kg dry red chillies, 6kg cardamom, 1kg mustard.
"The rate of spices are going high with every passing day, hard for commoners to buy spices. Government should decrease the rate of spices", said Mahesh Saha (secretary). Bappa this is indeed a unique way of appealing, but do listen and keep our food spicy, seems the request made by Sainath Mandal.
