Inspired by the greatest epics of the world- Mahabharat, Heroes of Wars by Virat Vilas Pawar has given this epic a futuristic touch. It is an interesting blend of two genres i.e. science fiction and mythology.

Have you ever imagined the great archer Arjun from the Mahabharata using an energy projectile like Doctor Strange to fight the Kauravas? Can you visualise Sahadeva, the youngest among the Pandavas, as a tech-savvy prince? Virat’s book takes you on a journey into this incredible world, set in the year 3025.

Talking about the same, author Virat Pawar said, “I’ve experimented in this book by mixing two genres- sci-fi and mythology. Usually, these two can’t come together as sci-fi happens in past and present and mythology happens in past. The only way to combine both is time-travel. Moreover, time-travel elements in the book also allow me to make the Mahabharata characters more relatable to the young generation. The names and their language have also been altered to make it sound more tech-savvy and relatable.”

There are several loose ends in this book which will be continued in its sequel titled- Heroes of Wars and it's Beast from the Future. Well, the idea of ancient characters of the Mahabharata using futuristic weapons is surely interesting and adds an exciting twist to the already larger than life epic.
