Crossword bookstores had come up with a plethora of activities for kids in this vacation season. It would be better to catch your kids read-handed than seeing them glued to their phones. These activities were conducted on weekends across Crossword bookstores in Inorbit Mall, Oberoi Mall and Kemps Corner.

Talking about her interaction with kids, author and illustrator Shamika Chaves said, "All the children were very enthusiastic and adorable. I’m very impressed by the number of little artists we’ve got. The activity that we did was just one from my new book Happy Holidays, so I can imagine the amount of fun they would have if they spent their holidays doing a whole bunch of them rather than being stuck to their electronics. I really do believe that all children have the potential and energy to do so much and I do hope they spend their childhood going out and playing in the sun and just being kids."

Shamika Chaves’ new children’s activity book 'Happy Holidays' published by Harper Collins India gives you a whole list of fun summer activities to choose from. Not only that it also has ‘did you know’ fun facts that will keep your child engaged and away from electronics that they usually get so hooked on to! The children's fest experienced some of these activities.

Crossword is all set to launch its another Peppa Pig festival for kids in June in Kemps Corner. A haven for parents and kids alike to bond over art and story-telling like never before.
