Kokuyo Camlin, leading stationery and art materials marketer in the country; partners yet again with Cartist to promote Automobile Art. Kokuyo Camlin has been associating with Cartist since its inception in 2015. Cartist was started as an idea of creating `Art for People’.

Cartist will be showcasing the `Cartist Yatra’ across major cities of India. The Yatra is scheduled to cover 10 states across 12 cities. The four-day camp of the Cartist Yatra in Mumbai was held from November 16th to November 19, 2017, at Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum, compound. Cartist aims at facilitating engagement of 100 local artists from each city making it a total of 1000 artists from all over India. Out of these 1000 artists, 200 selected artists will join Cartist at Jaipur for Cartist Automobile Art Festival 2018 from February 22nd to 24th 2018.

Talking about the concept, Saumitra Prasad, Chief Marketing Officer, Kokuyo Camlin Ltd said, “Kokuyo Camlin has always promoted art amongst all age group as it brings so much of goodness. With Cartist activity, we found a new canvass – cars. We hope initiatives like these will promote art everywhere.”

Himanshu Jangid, the man behind Cartist added by saying, “Support of corporates like Kokuyo Camlin is very important for the successful culmination of the event. We are thankful to Kokuyo Camlin and Mr. Prasad for supporting our efforts continuously right from inception. In fact, their support encouraged us to think big and take Cartist across the country this year. Cartist owes its colors to Kokuyo Camlin.”

An interesting component to Cartist Yatra 2017-2018, was the inside-out designing of shipping containers into artwork. For the first time, visitors witnessed the transformation of shipping containers (20-40 feet) as work of art. Workshops were also held on Regional Art and Culture.
