Dilip Kumar's brother Aslam Khan dies due to COVID-19

Coronavirus has been spreading at an alarming rate in India. Maharastra is one of the worst impacted states in the country and Mumbai continues to be a hotspot area. On August 16, veteran actor Dilip Kumar's brothers Eshan Khan and Aslam Khan were admitted to a hospital after testing positive for novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

On Friday morning, Aslam Khan who is the younger of the two passed away. ANI quoting the Lilavati hospital informed that Aslam also had diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease apart from being tested positive for COVID-19.

Both Aslam and Eshan were said to be in critical condition. They were admitted in ICU on August 16, 2020. They were admitted to hospital after they tested positive for COVID-19 via rapid antigen test.

In the month of July, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aradhaya Bachchan had tested positive for coronavirus. They were all also admitted at Lilavati Hospital. However, they have all tested negative and been discharged from the hospital and are said to be recuperating well.
