Pawan Tiwari and Zaigham Imam's film 'Nakkash' to unveil its first look at the Cannes Film Festival

Along with ‘Nakkash’, Nandita Das’ directed ‘Manto’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, director Rohena Gera’s ‘Sir’ featuring Tillotama Shome, Chef Vikas Khanna’s directorial debut ‘The Last Colour’ and young actor Antara Rao’s short film ‘Asthi’ will also be screened at Cannes.

The annual Cannes Film Festival has begun and just like every year, the French Riviera town will roll out many films from India and around the world. One such Indian film is ‘Nakkash’ which will be unveiled at the India Pavilion at the Cannes film festival on May 14. The 71st Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 8 to May 19.



Shot in various locations of Varanasi and Lucknow, ‘Nakkash’ depicts the story of two friends who belong to two different religions. The film portrays the most sensitive Hindu-Muslim issue in a very diverse manner.

The film is produced by Pawan Tiwari's JALSA Pictures, Zaigham Imam's AB Infosoft Creation and co-produced by Govind Goyal, Rohit Chaudhury (Bahul), Ashutosh Sharma’s Padmaja Production. 

Starring Inaamulhaq, Sharib Hashmi, Kumud Mishra, Pawan Tiwari, Rajesh Sharma and  Gulki Joshi ‘Nakkash’ will release by mid-2018.
