After Priyanka Chopra removed her husband’s last name from her Instagram profile, it sparked divorce rumours across social media platforms on Monday evening, November 22.
However, everything seems to be fine between the star couple and their latest Instagram exchange is proof.
The actress on Tuesday, November 23, left a mushy comment on Nick Jonas' video from his workout session on his Instagram profile.
The actress's fans have been speculating that she and Jonas are divorcing three years after their wedding because of the move.
A day earlier, on Monday, November 22, Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra had dismissed all the rumours.
“It’s all rubbish, don’t spread rumours,” said Madhu Chopra while speaking to News 18.
Neither her team has responded nor commented on the matter, but the actress' abrupt change has raised many eyeballs among netizens as to why she has changed her name.
Meanwhile, PeeCee's close friend in Mumbai who on condition of anonymity told ETimes that don't believe these baseless rumours. The friend maintained that social media followers have developed a tendency to overthink.
Reports also stated that the actress recently moved in with Nick into their first home. The couple also celebrated their first Diwali in their new home. The 'Quantico' star also shared pictures of the same on her social media.
These divorce rumours are all amusing. Priyanka is using her first name because she wants to use that in her future projects. There is no truth to any other speculation.
