Release date of Karan Johar's 'Student Of The Year 2' shifted to next year

Karan Johar’s much-awaited movie ‘Student Of The Year 2’ will now release next year instead of November 23 this year.

The filmmaker took to Twitter and wrote, “There is a NEW DATE for #SOTY2!!!! The admissions are now in summer 2019!!! Watch this space! @punitdmalhotra @iTIGERSHROFF @DharmaMovies@apoorvamehta18 @foxstarhindi”

The film is the second installment of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra’s rom-com drama ‘Student Of The Year’ which released in 2012, and was directed by KJo.'SOTY 2' is being directed by Punit Malhotra. It features Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria and Ananya Panday in lead roles.

As per reports, the release date is changed to avoid the clash as superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s starrer ‘2.0’ is slated to hit the screens on November 29. However, the makers haven’t revealed the reason behind changing the release date.
