Parel – A large number of people rushed to government offices from Parel-Sewri area to get their old currency notes exchange on Thursday. The Central government had assigned some places to exchange currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denominations. As the time limit ended on Thursday, many people had taken leaves from their work to get their old currency notes exchanged at the government offices. “The government’s surgical strike against black money is proving costly for common people,” said Kalpana Bhavar.
