Lamborghini likely to invest in Maharashtra

With matching key interests with the automobile giant, the state recently announced the electric vehicle policy and is now working on the target to get investments of ₹10 lakh crore

Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018 is around the corner and is going to have an unusual attendee this year. The CEO of the Italian automobile manufacturing giant Lamborghini, Antonio Lamborghini is going to drop in the three-day global investor’s summit starting on February 18. 

Sanjay Sethi, chief executive officer, Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) told that Lamborghini is interested in investing in the state and their key interest lies in electric vehicles.

State industries minister, Subhash Desai is looking forward to meeting the company delegates. Senior MIDC officials said they will meet the company on Friday. The electric vehicle policy recently announced by the state is thought to being worked on.

Desai told after signing the Memorandum of Understandings worth Rs 8 lakh crore in ‘Make In India’ summit, the target is to get an investment of ₹10 lakh crore.

Among other attendees of the Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence, 2018 will be leaders of various global companies such as Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic, Edward Monser, the president of Emerson Electric Co, Cho Hyun-Joon, chairman of Hyosung Group, and Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd.
