Mumbai - Though prime minister Narendra Modi has received support from countrymen for his decision on scrapping of the currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000, common people are facing a tough time due to this decision. A common man from Chandrapur, Anand Dighe, had to remain hungry as the staff of the Manora canteen in new MLA Hostel refused to provide him lunch as he had only two notes of Rs 500 and no notes of lesser denominations. A board was put up outside the canteen informing the customers that Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes will not be accepted. This had caused inconvenience to many people. Canteen manager, on condition of anonymity, said that the all the petty change was given to customers in the night itself and hence this board was put up.
