Parle-G, known for innovative marketing skills and exciting new campaigns, has recently come forward and announced that it does not want to advertise on news channels that broadcast toxic content.
Parle Products introduced by Mohanlal Dayal Chauhan, a confectionery maker in Mumbai’s Vile Parle in 1929, has been the common man’s companion with tea and tryst every day. However, this new announcement made by the company has not disappointed its loyal customers. In fact, ever since the announcement, social media users have been lauding the move by the brand, many calling it a genius stroke.

Earlier on Thursday, October 8, 2020, Mumbai Police, spoke about fake TRP rackets and shared more details regarding the same in a press conference held in the city. Commissioner of Police, Param Bir Singh, asserted that the channels were manipulating the TRP ratings and the data released by BARC.
Moreover, Singh named three channels, Republic TV, Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema stating that they have been involved in the said racket. As per reports, officials have arrested the owners of Marathi channels Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema. Also, investigations are being carried out with the senior members of Republic TV.
